In Bolea, at the foot of the Sierra de Caballera and looking out over the Hoya de Huesca, the cherry trees blossom in late March and early April. More than 60 hectares of cherry orchards surround the village.
What grows here
Cherry trees grown for fruit, with more than 30 varieties, some of them traditional. Bolea harvests around 400,000 kilos of cherries a year, according to the Hoya de Huesca district.

Did you know?
Bolea's collegiate church of Santa María la Mayor, built between 1541 and 1559, houses a late fifteenth-century main altarpiece and was declared a national monument in 1983.
