What data we process and why
Email alerts: your email address, the place or species you are interested in and your language, to let you know when flowering begins. We also keep proof of your consent: the text you accepted, the date, the page where you signed up, your browser and your encrypted IP address (we do not store it in clear). Visitor reports: the stage you tell us, the date, the position, the photo if you send one and, if you wish, a name for the credit and an email address. Only the position rounded to about 200 metres is published, never the email address.
Legal basis
Your consent, for alerts and reports (you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what came before). Our legitimate interest, to protect the forms against abuse and bots.
How long we keep it
Alerts, until you unsubscribe; those not confirmed within 48 hours are not used. Sign-up attempts, two days. The encrypted fingerprint of reports (IP and browser), 30 days. Reports, while they remain published or until you delete them with your link.
Who else processes it
Only providers working on our behalf: Supabase (database and photos, in the European Union), Vercel (website hosting; United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses), the email provider that sends the alerts (Resend, with the same safeguards) and Cloudflare Turnstile (bot check, no cookies). The map loads tiles from OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address to serve them. We do not sell or share your data.
Cookies
We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. Fonts are served from our own domain.
Your rights
You can access, rectify or erase your data, object to or restrict its processing and request its portability by writing to hola@cuandoflorece.es. To unsubscribe from an alert, just use the link in any email. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
