A mountain valley in Alicante's Marina Baixa, enclosed by the Aitana, Serrella and Xortà ranges. Almond trees blossom in the fields around Guadalest, Benimantell, Beniardà, Benifato, Confrides and Abdet, with the reservoir below.
What grows here
Almond trees grown for their nuts, alongside citrus, loquats and, to a lesser extent, olives and carobs. Blossom usually peaks around mid-February and, depending on the year, can last into March.
