Almond groves at the foot of the Loarre hills in the Hoya de Huesca, between Loarre, Loscorrales and Ayerbe, at roughly 500-800 m. Loarre Castle looks out over a landscape that turns white and pink in blossom.
What grows here
Almond trees grown for their nuts, including largueta, whose white blossom opens first (around mid-February), and marcona, with pinker flowers about a week later. Flowering lasts roughly a month.
