In Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana, in the Vallès Oriental less than an hour from Barcelona, the Mas Sampera farm opens its lavender fields to visitors during the bloom, from June to early August.
What grows here
Around 18,000 lavender plants on 2 ha, according to the farm, which distils the flowers and makes certified organic essential oil, cosmetics and soaps. The village is also home to the Parc de les Olors, devoted to aromatic plants.
