Some 55,000 cherry trees blossom around Torres, in the Sierra Mágina, in the heart of the natural park in Jaén, usually between late March and mid-April. The village has walking routes laid out through the orchards.
What grows here
Cherries grown for fruit at around 880 m, alongside the olive groves. Torres and Castillo de Locubín together account for more than 1,300 ha of cherry orchards in the province. Varieties include Burlat, Summit, Van and Bing.
