Oria, in the Almanzora valley of Almería province and over 1,000 m above sea level, has more almond orchards than any other municipality in the province. In late February and early March its fields blossom for a couple of weeks.
What grows here
Almonds grown for their nuts are the main farming activity in the municipality, covering thousands of hectares of Oria’s land.
